I believe that by going through the process of becoming certified, we have distinguished ourselves from our competitors as a provider of higher quality services to our customers, said Blanchard. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a global network that identifies what International Standards are required by business, government and society, develops them in partnership with the sectors that will put them to use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input, and delivers them to be implemented worldwide. Registration to ISO 9001:2000 provides objective proof that a business has implemented an effective quality management system, and that it satisfies all of the requirements of the applicable standard. An external, impartial expert called a registrar conducts an on-site audit to determine whether or not a company is in conformance to the standard.
